Subject: Blue - In order for people to better..
Understand your day, and why things take time (and so forth)

Why not Outline a typical day, and how the you normally conduct that day? (I saw your post about why you don't answer some serious questions, but answer the silly ones).

Sorta like if we understand the why/how, then some may have a little more patience for things?

Just an idea.. :)

The problem with such an exercise is that every day varies... but I'll see if I can give a general idea. ;)

The majority of my time is spent in front of my computer, eyes locked onto the forums. I read through a variety of forums throughout the day. You folks do write quite a bit, and that takes up much of my time. ;) While I am reading, I lock posts that do not follow policy and answer what questions to which I can immediately respond.

When a major community concern appears, I eMail the development team (well, the appropriate members of said team) asking for information. Sometimes I get something I can give you, sometimes I do not, but I'm not idle in that regard.

I keep an eye on the realm status to make sure everything's running smoothly. It isn't my duty to inform the server team when there's a problem, but I do need to keep tabs on it in case you folks experience a problem and post about it.

I juggle a variety of projects not directly related to the forums in any given day. I write up messaging for the website, for example. I work on other PR-related tasks, aiding that team where I can.

I attend various team meetings, including design team meetings when they occur. This helps me better understand (and get an info dump all at once) what's coming down the pipe, which in turn helps me address your concerns. We're also asked for our input in turn, and mention any major concerns there.

I help with tests of upcoming content. Areas such as raid zones and battlegrounds require a large number of people to test them, and many teams contribute. I do so to get a better handle on what's coming and how the encounters work so I can answer questions when they come up.

On certain subjects, I will schedule meetings with the developers as opposed to eMailing/calling/running by their office so we can sit down and have an in-depth discussion on a subject. These occur primarily when there are serious top issues within the community (class meetings, Honor System) and we relate your concerns in such a way that they more easily see where you're coming from. We exchange thoughts and discuss what's being done to improve the situation, and then we bring that information to you. :)

There's a little insight on an average day here for me.
