Subject: Please, someone respond. Perferably Blizzard
I just have a few general questions I want answered, perferably by Blizzard so that I don't get 100+ responses by people who are not an offical Blizzard Employee.

1) Why is it that the PR side of Blizzard can not give us updates when the servers are down that depict why the servers are down, when we'll have an ETA for the servers to be back up, and an hourly update, to at least tell us you're aware of the problem and fixing it? I've played several MMOs before and they were able to give hourly updates on the situation, even if nothing happened.

2) Why were Argent Dawn character names "removed" from the database on the forum website? My main and several of my alts are on Argent Dawn, and yet, I can't post as them because for whatever reason, they've been disabled. I'd like to know why that is.

3) Why do I keep hearing about Warlocks and Hunters complaining about their characters? Why have you people in PR, basically, given these players skewed and dodgy answers? If you gave them more committment, or at least a decent answer once in awhile, I'm sure they'll be more patient with you. That, and not take away what the class has from what I've heard.

4) Why has Blizzard, for the most part, been rather bad with their communications with the players? This isn't a bash on the community represnetatives personally, but you have a community website you'd like the community to use, you have a nice forum set-up, and yet, I feel that there are poor communications at times between Blizzard and its Community. Yes, you have 1.5 Million players to be worried over, but not all of them are on at once, and not all of them are as active as some otehrs are.

Any sort of response that answers my questions clearly, and effectivly would be nice from you guys and gals at Blizzard. I've been real patient with you guys and gals, but I would like some answers, and I'm sure that the community would like these questions, and many more, answered.

Sincerly,
Talroken, Mage of Argent Dawn

I will do my best to answer these questions with the knowledge I have available.

1) Sometimes we simply do not have that information to give. That said, we're aware that the communication we've given recently is inadequate and we've been in meetings today firming up processes and procedures that should hopefully bring more accurate time estimates as well as more information when available.

2) This was done to alleviate load on that subset of realms. The official announcement is in the Technical Support forum.

3) I am working with the Hunters to get their concerns addressed -- I posted "The List", got feedback on it from the Hunter community and amended it accordingly, and now plan to meet with the developers this week to discuss the class. The Warlock liaison is Eyonix, and I'll see if I can get him to post regarding what he's doing for that part of our community.

4) We do our level best to get information to you when we can. Unfortunately sometimes issues prevent us from doing so. We're trying our utmost to remove these barriers and obstacles preventing information from getting to you in a timely manner.

Q u o t e:
Suggestion forum: When you the CMs found good suggestions/feed backs from players, don't bother "compiling"/"processing" them. Being in the creative industry I know first hand that if I'm the dev I would want to read the original idea without somebody trying to summarize it for me. No offense to you but the devs are grown ups who could read by themselves. To use an analogy from the video industry, you "processing" our feedback is like making a copy of a video, every time you copy it the data gets more corrupt.

This should help with your communication problem somewhat...

The devs do read the forum and get the "raw" feedback themselves, but part of our jobs is to summarize and present feedback in a manner that is not hostile, succinct, and adequately shows the player's views. They get both, and the fact that they encourage us to do what we do makes me think they don't actually mind. ;)
