Subject: Going off the handle because of racism?
Ok, so some guy must of been whispering his friend on Kel'Thuzad, but he accidentally typed /1 instead of /r. This message was broadcast to the entire sector.

"<name of friend here>, these Storm snouts are <Insert N-Word here> to kill."

I just brushed it off, mistakes happened, and I wasnt offended. But some other people in the channel wigged out, and reported him. I told them to cool their jets, and that it wasnt worth getting him suspended over (there is a profanity filter after all) and they accused me of being racist. The guy was then promptly suspended.

Am I condoning the use of racist language, no. Am I racist myself? No. However, getting a guy suspended for saying the word is just moronic. If it offends you so much, turn on the profanity filter, its there for a reason.

If a player violates our Terms of Use, accident or not and is reported, we will take the appropriate action after thoroughly investigating the situation. I'm sorry that you disagree with our stance, but keep in mind words such as what you've indicated are highly inappropriate and have no place in Azeroth.

The language filter is only an added measure of protection from profanity, and not a ticket to abuse.
