Was anyone else disappointed when they bought their mount (after saving 100g mind you) then realized how unversatile it is?? When mounted there are SO many things you cant do it makes the mount very... unfit to what it is. It is a creature that i am sitting on, not some lockdown "move-quickly-and-do-nothing-else mode" It is in my personal opinion that mounts need quite a bit of work.
1. Is it really exploitable to have mounts be able to swim? I dont see why they cant, and why if i touch water i lose my mount. Really annoying when crossing that 10ft creek!
2. Why cant i use ANYTHING in my bags while mounted?? Quite frustrating to have to unmount just to right click my little torch that i have to plant in that pile of rocks (or dung, whatever). I cant even place my pet!
3. I can understand the reasoning behind not being able to fight while mounted. However... This removes a VERY cool part of the game that just has to be in! I would love to run by an opposing faction and (perhaps a warrior ability or something) slash him as i run by! Maybe put in some mount-only fighting ability that has 50% damage reduction? or while mounted and in combat mode, you lose the speed enhancement? If you get hit you still have that chance to get knocked off your mount (maybe add a stun too?)
4. As a healer this really bothers me. Not being able to heal/buff my allies while mounted. Not even myself to say the least. Whats wrong with a buff? a shield while mounted? Why not shield myself and my mount?
5. It seems to me that when battlegrounds comes out, everyone will pay alot more attention to the incapabilities of mounts. There will be lots of mounting and unmounting and mounting and unmounting that, not only seems unrealistic - its annoying!!
Now to finalize this - go ahead and point out all the downsides to this, i just cant think of any right now. But for the love of all that is holy - dont call me an idiot, newb, dumbass, or whatnot... please
