Subject: There won't be any locks to open Dark Portal
If Blizz keeps nerfing us there won't be any warlocks to open the dark portal. At least not enough. People don't seem to know it can be opened. On they WoW DvD Chris Metzen (VP of Blizz) says the Dark Portal can be opened by enough Warlocks. At this nerfing rate there will be far too few or enough capable of opening it. I am saddened by this. We need fixes not nerfs.

Please consider this Blizz. We warlocks are the most important class in this game, you and the players don't realize that yet. And when you do it will be too late :(

(It seems my first post of this that I posted this morning was strangely deleted. No idea why, this doesn't go against any forum rules.)

Rest assured, when the time is appropriate there will most certainly be an achievable method available to open the dark portal, meaning, players can stop worrying about the mass Warlock exodus that has been mentioned in certain player's posts for months now.

Q u o t e:
So you are saying after the mass exodus of locks blizz will allow other classes this ability to open the Portal? Mages maybe?

I'm saying that I don't fear a mass exodus of Warlocks is going to occur...

We're working to address outstanding issues with all classes. Change takes time however, and it's important that players remain patient in the case that the specific change they're hoping for isn't immediately around the corner. Concerning Warlocks, I've stated time and time again that improvements are underway.

Q u o t e:
Immediately around the corner?

I'm sorry, Eyonix, but 'locks have been constuctively airing their issues from half-way through beta, and all you've done is upgrade Fire and Spellstones which hardly anyone uses anyway...

Warlock players demanded that I convince the development team to make Enslave Demon immune to the affects of dispel. It was even referred to as a major issue with the class. Now this is being fixed in the next patch Caliban, along with the changes you mentioned to Firestone and Spellstone. There have been several improvements made to the class, and we will continue to make improvements, and it is important that you don't choose to focus on only one area of the entire picture. If Warlocks have suggestions or wish to provide feedback, they must do so in their class forum.

Q u o t e:
Eyo, you definately get credit for fixing the Dispel issue. As well as the other bug fixes and the Stone improvements.

However...we still need more communication. This post got several replies from you, which is great! Unfortunately, it occurred out here in General Chat, and not in our own bloody forums, which is what is most lacking right now.

Why then is communication in such a slump? Why is it any of the "Feedback Requests" or "Update" sticky posts go to twelve pages without a single blue response? Why are there no blue-involved posts concerning specific top concerns like Soul Shards, Endgame Pets, and that annoying pet pathing bug?

Are we the only ones that feel that communication could do with some hefty improvement?

I cannot commit all of my time into providing responses to the individual threads appearing in the Warlock forum. I read through the threads, request feedback through sticky messages, and deliver information based upon this process the moment that I'm able. This is how the current system works, Arkazon.

Q u o t e:
The best part about this thread is that Eyonix responded to a troll. The amount of traffic that this thread is getting is because you (Eyonix) has responded to a thread by a warlock. We are starving for more communication.

Responding to threads on the general discussion forum is one of the many aspects of my job, Cyndane. Also, whether or not you're aware, there have been a number of threads similar to this one crop up over the last several days, and it needed to be addressed. I'm sorry that you feel otherwise.

You're just feeding the trolls, E. Most warlocks understnd changes are on the way and we appreciate them.

Thanks, Yams. In truth, I'm just using this thread as a means to convey certain thoughts.

This thread itself has received great communication. Eyo has provided several responses allready! If we saw that kind of committment in the class forums, many of us wouldn't be the sort of rabid dogs that we are.

Arkazon, I've had these types of discussions in the Warlock forum on several occasions over the last five weeks. Just as this thread will fall of the front page and become lost in a short matter of time, so were the others in your class forum. I'm sorry if you missed them, and I'm sorry that I cannot have them with you there each and every day.
