Attention all blue posters. Just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work you do on this forum. I know we are not always easy to deal with and i know you guys are caught right in the middle between the ones who can fix everything and the ones who want everything fixed.
Was wondering if you guys would/could give us a little info about yourselves (how you became a CM, what part of the world you live in, what you do when you are NOT playing WoW, toughest part about being a CM, etc.) This will give the community a small glance into what being a CM is like and promote a sense of fellowship between blue and non-blue. (could you also tell us your sex, too? I never really know how to address you guys based on your characters ;-) )

I can't answer everything, but I'll do what I can. :)
First, I'm female.
The Community Team works in Blizzard HQ in Irvine, so we're all local to the area.
When not playing World of Warcraft (which does take up a good chunk of my free time), I write, draw, play single-player PC games (notably RPGs and a few FPSs when the mood strikes) and do a little pen-and-paper role playing. My favorite system is Paranoia, but I've played a wide variety of games there.
I'm a Community Manager because I have years of experience communicating on forums and working in the industry. I've performed a variety of duties in the day-to-day workings of an MMOG over the years, so I have a decent understanding of the different departments and what the cogs do to make the machine run. ;)
Hmm, the toughest part about being a Community Manager... that's a difficult question to answer. I would say it's being unable to answer all the legitimate questions people have from day to day immediately with an informative and satisfying response. There is nothing I want more than to keep you folks informed, but the reality of the matter is that information takes time to achieve and not all questions can be answered in that way. It frustrates me just as much as it does you. Nonetheless, I greatly appreciate those of you who continue to post your thoughts on these forums constructively, as it helps us understand your position and your outlook on the game. :)

Guys, much as I know you want more "blue" responses, we don't have everyone here today, and naturally some things take precedence (especially if the team member in question is not primarily focused on forums). So you may not get more responses from us just yet. I'll try to nudge people this way when I can.
