Before you flame me, you should know a few things.
1) i'm a girl, so don't call me "SOB" etc.
2) i don't care what you say.
3) i'm right. deal with it.
Character transfers. They suck.
I'm from one of the smallest 5 PvP servers. Crushridge. Here at Crushridge, we have a community. Everyone level 40+ knows just about everyone else thats 40+. Its very rare to see someone 40+ that you've never seen before.
On Crushridge, there are ~100 level 60's. total. Neither faction has compleated molten core(we haven't gotten very far yet, thought i don't know the exact details). a flood of high levels into the server would be bad for a few reasons.
1) the community we love would be destroyed.
2) level 60's from high pop servers will more then likley have top of the line raid instance gear, that isn't available to players on our server yet. That simply isn't fair.
3) the largest guilds on our server don't exceed more then 150 members. once again, thats just a quess, the actuall number is more then likley ALOT less then that. If a whole guild was to transfer, they could easily be the largest on the server, and that simply isn't fair.
Ok, "BUT OMG!@!(@*!( MYSERVER LAGS TOO MUCH".
well, guess what. so does ours. if more then 30 people gather in the same spot, the server goes to hell.
Please blue, reconsider character transfers.
why should we on small servers have to suffer because you on large servers are too lazy to re-roll?[ post edited by Gidgettie ]

Gidgettie, while your concerns are valid, please at least allow the results of the character transference to take place before speculating the possibility of negative affects. Each team involved with the inception of this feature has placed a great deal of thought into this process, and analyzed the numerous possibilities that such a transference could cause and we feel confident that gameplay will not be adversely affected for our player base. You're certainly not ignored, and trust me when I say there are a number of us here that play on a low population server. One of the reasons that it has taken so long to get this feature implemented was due to the care we placed into researching its possible affects.
