On Al'akir we have been hoping and praying for migration for some time. The server is overpopulated and suffers as a result. However
Al'Akir --> Burning Blade
Why blizzard are you moving to us to a server who's whole population has migrated
Q u o t e:
May 15th - 18th
Dragonmaw --> Frostmane
Burning Blade --> Grim Batol
Spinebreaker --> Frostmane
Its widley known that Burning Blade has exactly the same problems Al'akir suffers from so why on earth are we getting moved there ? its almost like a delibate kick in the face to us as a server and to those seeking somewhere where you can actually raid BWL for more than a week without the insane lag/dcs/whatever problem it is this week totaly stopping us.
So please reconsider our destination realm, also giving us only a week to prepare or make the decision ?
As it stands now im sure none of Al'akir will move to burning Blade because of its well documented problems, so were all still stuck untill you decide to give us a destination realm that isnt totaly horrible..

We generally expect very few to move to older low-population realms, regardless of which realm they come from. We feel Bladefist, Burning Blade and Daggerspine need some more people though, and every little bit helps. We'll give several realms the opportunity to move there. It's great to hear about communities staying very close. Perhaps a few will move still though. In any case it does not block Al'Akir or other high-pop realms from other opportunities in the future.
Performance issues will not be addressed through migration, however. If that would be the general policy we'd be moving entire realms instead of opening character migration. We do use realm migrations sometimes, like with 8 German realms some time ago, but that's when addressing issues affecting entire WoW sites.
We continue to work with top priority on the performance issues affecting some realms (mainly older ones), and will continue with this until it's solved.
That there is one damn fine epic you're wearin'.
