Subject: The migration to Frostmane
On the date of the 3rd migration day from Spinebreaker and Dragonmaw to Frostmane, the queues has started. It's only 50 people in queue atm, but if I would guess it will just esculate as more people are moving in (and especially if you are dumb enough to open character creation on Frostmane).

This is just plain ridicoulos. Wasn't the point of this migration to create a better enviroment for everyoen who played on the overcrowded servers of Ragnaros, Shattered Hand, Dragonmaw and Spinebreaker?

And don't go saying you couldn't predict it. It would take ONE look at the realm forums of Frostmane before the 2nd migration to know that the server would get overcrowded. There was a list of at least 30 guilds - only from Dragonmaw - who had decided to move.

It has been said before, and is worth saying again: GG Blizzard.

Q u o t e:
The player cap is lower on new realms.

Correct. We still have a cap increase to apply next week. It might not remove the queues entirely though, depending on how high they get. Please check the migration plan post which has an update about over-populated destination realms.

Q u o t e:
THX for doing it again you !&$%ing morons!

Thank you for not using such language and for refraining from insults on these forums in the future.
That there is one damn fine epic you're wearin'.

Q u o t e:
Well we kind of migrated to get away from queue's kinda sad to see them here again :/

As I recall doesnt it say that destination realms might be changed due to population issues with the current realm?

Destination realms tend to have a higher activity just after (and during) the migration then settle down a bit. Between breaking off migration and risking splitting guilds (the guild migration assistance has a limit on the number of people moved) and let the migration complete and see how it develops then jump in with other solutions, we prefer the latter.

And everyone, while I very much understand the concern, please watch your language. The forum guidelines are still valid.

Thank you.

Q u o t e:
so when will we get a new migration? :S
...and...

Q u o t e:
Yee, now you'd raise the cap and server become more laggy. VVvvvery nice.

Between opening migration off the realm and increasing the cap above the regular one I'm sure we'll lean towards the former. As said in the migration plan thread we don't wish to get into details about it now though. Let's see how it develops first.

Q u o t e:
you did however say you would close the migration if there was a risk for queue's
well the queue is present, and guilds that miss members the last day are just not really smart...

We always reserve the right to close or redirect the migration. The decision to keep it open until completed this week is based on the experience with former destination realms and their population. Of course the past doesn't always reflect how the future will be, hence the very close monitoring in the coming weeks and actions following. We don't want to jump the gun though.

And based on the e-mails I get about guilds wondering whether we can move the deadline for the guild migration assistance just for them I think you'd be surprised at how many you're calling "not really smart". ;)
