Up until 1.10 I enjoyed sticking my twink character at the beginning of a low instance and stocking her inventory with whatever difficult drop I was going for. Since this has not been possible for quite awhile I'm wondering if this will ever return. I'm not sure if orignally it was a bug being able to do so when said character was out of range anyway or this had to do with all the problems masterlooting had when 1.10 first came out. I'm really wanting to make a new twink, and to be quite honest I'm lazy.. and dragging a low level behind me through an instance just to get the items she needs sucks (not to mention the xp gain issues). :) If it's never coming back looks like I'm just stuck doing it the hard way or buying all the overpriced twink boes (which i've done quite enough of). Thanks for any info.

Unfortunately, this was a bug that was fixed as a side effect of some other nasty bugs. For example, prior to 1.10, if you died during a fight, you wouldn't be eligible to receive any reputation bonuses. There were a number of cases like this involving honor, loot, reputation and experience.
Fixing those meant that we also had to fix the master looter bug that was allowing you to reward loot to people simply for being in the instance. Now, your twink must at least be within the area of interest of the encounter or on the threat list to be eligible on the master looter's list.
