Subject: ZG difficulty- why so hard?
   We've run ZG about 20 times now as a guild(with few to no pick-ups) and the general consensus is that the instance is too difficult in relation to the loot. I've tried to be very optimistic about ZG myself, but have found the runs to wind up very discouraging.

We are only able to kill two bosses(snake, bat) with regularity. We've killed the Bloodlord once out of half-dozen tries and have never downed the spider. We've gotten 2 epics since we've been in ZG those 20 times. Numerous so-so blues. Side-grades or marginal upgrades.

The discouraging bit is the lack of overall progress. The feeling that despite having good-geared people(relative to the loot that drops in ZG) and good strats, we still can't defeat more than a couple bosses.

At this point a majority of the people that go think we should just bulk up on numbers and work over MC. It kind of seems ironic because MC needs 40 and has a ton more epics, whereas ZG has 20 and has less epics. But getting one epic in MC on a simple first-try trash run yields an impression of much metter reward:effort.

Is this a universal experience? UBR is nothing to us now. Why should ZG be so tough by comparison? Is AQ going to end up in the same level of difficulty? It seems like they are balanceing these 20-mans against MC equipped guilds rather than againsts UBR/Strat/Scholo geared guilds.

We typically have warriors with defense from 350-380ish. Okay numbers of healers. Ample hunters. Plenty of paladins. Etc.

Thanks for any advice in terms of progress.

   I think some of the encounters could use some slight tuning.

Arlokk is currently more difficult than intended. Thekal is currently more difficult than intended. Hakkar is currently easier than intended. Also, the dungeon is taking too long to clear as a whole. We're going to evaluate some of the "clearing" pulls and determine if we can make the pacing a little bit better (nothing extreme, just a strategic pull here and there).
