Subject: Cay.....Can you clear this up for us lowbies
   Cay,
I have read many posts and even started topics about what my options will be when I get to lvl 60. Some people post that they are basically stuck being a healbot and others say that they have acquired equipment that will give them over 10k armor which allows them to tank. Basically I have a few questions.

Caster Form
Is it possible for a druid to be a damage, not healing, caster at 60? And if not what are you guys doing to make this possible?

Feral Form
Will I have to spend endless hours searching for rare equipment drops to get a set in order to tank at 60 in high lvl instances? If yes why is it that we are the only class that has to spend such significant time searching for equipment when any other class could fulfill their roles without doing this?

General Concerns
What is blizzard doing to change the stereotype that druids are just "Healbots" and not effective for any other role in a party?

I have read alot about this subject over the last few weeks as I get closer and closer to 60. And it seems to me that for a class that is deemed as "Jack of all trades, Master of none" that basically we not a "Jack of all trades, Master of none" once we hit 60, we are "Healbots" unless we spend countless hours searching for epic equipment to get our armor high enough to tank in which case we still can't do an effective amount of dps. ( So what would be the point of searching for all that equipment)

In Closing
I have enjoyed playing my druid thus far because of the flexibility that the class offers. Sometimes I just spam moonfire/starfire, sometimes I go cat and stealth around, and sometimes I go bear and beat something to death. But once I get to 60 eventually the quests will run out and then what will become of my druid. I will be basically forced to be a healer by my party, and if I tell them I don't want to be a healer what will happen then?

If you could provide me with some insight being the "Queen Druid" I would greatly appreciate it. I would like you to know that I am not complaing I am simply requesting information about how I see the situation being once I hit 60. If my perception of this is wrong please inform me, If not could you please provide some insight about what will be done or can be done to fix it?

In all honesty, I do not believe there will be much change to the casting damage of a Druid. They are not meant to deal out damage equivalent (or close) to a Mage, Warlock, or even a Priest in caster form.

Feral forms are being reviewed and there should be some improvement along those lines, but social stigmas are what they are. It's up to you folks to break them. My realm tends to be pretty good about such things -- my guildmates have reported Druids tanking Scholomance, for example. ;)

There will probably still need to be varying equipment in order to boost one's feral form, but I'll tell you right now I don't spend much time searching for feral gear. If something drops and I can add it to my collection, I do. Even in my intellect gear I'm not horrible, and in my feral gear -- far from optimal, with the possible exception of the Unyielding Maul which is fairly easy to achieve -- I'm pretty darn decent.

I know what the Balance tree does, and it is to improve our caster damage -- but that does not mean it will be equivalent, or close, to those classes I mentioned even with talents.

As I've said, the developers plan on reviewing all trees for the Druid.
