Subject: conformation of a GM response?
ok now a friend of mine has had a shaman he has not played in a long time, before 1.11, today he logged on to have a play around to find he only had 38 talent points. thats 38 in TOTAL, none spent, thats all he had, so thinking it was wrong he tried the usual, removing the WTF/interface folders, nothing. so he petitioned a GM, he then recieved this Email a few minutes ago:

Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department.

Issue Reported:

my shaman only has 38 talent points in total, with none spent =o

and im pretty sure im supposed to have 51 ;)

The issue reported above is not considered to be "broken" and should be functioning normally. If you feel that the functionality should be different, then please visit the Suggestion Forum (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.aspx?fn=wow-suggestions) and post a suggestion. These forums are regularly monitored by the World of Warcraft development team.

You can also check our general forums (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/forums/) where you can discuss game issues with other players.

Thank you again for contacting us. We hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft!

*** Please do not respond to this email as all conversations on this matter would be best handled online. ***

the reason im posting this is his account has a forum ban so he cant post this himself. but is this correct? or is this a case where the GM 'misunderstood' the problem? it seems as though 38 talent points is nowhere near sufficient for any class =o ill get him to give me a screenshot of it if needed but any advice would be appreciated.

To be honest, Hitthis, the player experiencing this issue will need to contact the Game Master Department in-game to have this fully looked into. Unfortunately this is an issue that we cannot help with via another player, and if the player he or she is unable to post on the forums they'll need to use the in-game petition system. :(

If your friend feels that their previous petition was incorrectly addressed I strongly advise them to send the pertinent details to wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com. I assure you that the e-mail will be read, and that the appropriate action will be taken - unfortunately we cannot guarantee a response from that address.

I hope everything works out for your friend, and I appreciate you coming her to post for him or her; that is admirable. ;)

Assuming that the character is level 60, and that no talent points have been spent, there should be 51 talents available. Without having the information that was available to the Game Master addressing the petition I cannot determine for certain the accuracy of the reply, Hitthis.

Again, I'm sorry we're unable to provide further assistance here on the forums. Please have your friend submit an in-game petition if they still require help. :)
