I am using a scout's blade mainhand with a weapon chain. I can and am disarmed often despite this. I have been disarmed by Warriors, Rogues, and even swashbucklers in Stranglethorn Vale.
This is not isolated to any one area from what I can tell but rather weapon chains just do not work. From what i can assume it started with the recent patch. I have noticed the issue personally for about a week.
Please find a solution soon the Alliance is aware of the fact i can be disarmed now and is exploiting that weakness to its fullest.

While I do not doubt what you believe to have observed, Darkrvagrant, let me preface my reply by saying that we're not currently aware of any issues which would prevent Weapon Chains from functioning correctly, nor have we received reports from other players of such a phenomenon. Additionally, given your character's current setup, we weren't able to reproduce what you've described; in our testing, abilities used by both mobs (e.g. Sticky Tar, used by the Tar Creepers in Un'Goro Crater) and players failed to disarm our character when a [Steel Weapon Chain] had been applied. If you believe to have experienced otherwise, however, then I urge you to quantify your results and bring them to the attention of the Quality Assurance representatives who moderate the Bug Report Forum (linked below). Thanks for any assistance you can offer in our investigation, friend. :)

Oh, and Pav thank you for replying to this at all I know its not the category of this forum I'm just trying to get it to someone who can hear it out and assist.
Also, i think the reason it's not been reported might be due to the lower prevalence of weapon chains compared to enchants among a majority of players.

Hmm, interesting. I'll conduct some further tests when I can, Darkrvagrant. Tell me, when your Weapon Chain appeared to work in the duel, were you using any poisons? Is that the only difference you can recall between the two instances? I'm trying to isolate what may be causing the discrepancies you've noted, so that further investigation can occur. :)

All right, well, it isn't poisons alone; I applied Crippling Poison to my dagger, and still couldn't be disarmed by Tar Creepers, Bloodsail Swashbucklers, or a warrior using Disarm. It does, however, look as though it's possible to become disarmed when switching weapons between one's main hand and off-hand mid-fight -- it's possible, as your friend stated, that the weapon with the Weapon Chain is technically becoming unequipped for a split-second, thereby allowing you to become disarmed. As for whether this is intentional, I'm not certain, but I'm going to pass along my findings to our Quality Assurance and Development Teams for further perusal.
