Character transfers using the Paid Character Transfer Service (whether you are transfering to a new account, a new realm, or a new realm and a new account at the same time) may take up to several days to complete, depending on the amount of transfers that are currently being processed. If there aren't many transfers that are currently processing, it may only take a few minutes to complete.
Once you've begun your transfer, you can check on it's status by visiting the Transactions Page. When your character has been moved to the new account, you will be given the option to finalize the transfer on the Transactions Page, and, after you've done so, your character should become available for play on the new account.
