The loot window popped and every one passed so we could random it. Well, we random'd and the winner nor any one else was able to loot the body. Everything around this boss corpse has disapeared so I'm assuming the item is still on him - I paged, but should I give up hope of a GM showing up in time ?

Don't give up hope! The Game Master who responds to the petition does not need the corpse to remain to verify the loot. Although a reimbursement of any kind is not guaranteed, we will further investigate this looting issue and work to recover the missing item.
Were you the Master Looter/Raid Leader? We will need the petition to come from this player.
I tried to throw away a yo-yo. It was impossible.
