hey blizz...i was just wondering if you guys have any idea why there have been so many accounts hacked in the past week? I know 3 of my personal friends who were hacked and at least 6-7 guildmates who have been. I think that's pretty crazy considering that it's all happened on one realm in the past week. Hi Vestigio,
This is mostly likely something "in common" that your friends and guildmates have done. For example, they might have been using the same contaminated AddOn, or visited the same website, or downloaded the same program. Sometimes we also encounter cases where 1 or 2 guildmates have known the account information of multiple others and a trojan on their machines has "harvested" all of these guildmates' account information.
