Subject: Item Resto
Ok, about two weeks ago I was in an Onyxia pug and the wrath helm dropped. I won it with a roll of 722 and the next guy rolled a 711. Someone else rolled and the master looter didn't see my roll and looted it to the wrong person.

The master looter and I both put in tickets about it and the master looter was going to use one of his item restores (this is from the GM that he was talking to). Was then told that it was going to be escalated to a character specialist. Well, I waited the one week like the sticky says but now it has been two weeks and I'm wondering what is going on with this.

Any idea on when I might get word about this?

It appears that the original petition submitted by your Master Looter was closed by that player before it ever reached the hands of our Character Specialists. Please have him submit an additional in-game petition as a "follow-up" to the Master Looter error made on 7/25; and, inform him to note that the original petition made on the issue was closed before being investigated by a specialist. Let me know if you encounter any further issues with this process, Zahadra. = )

Talked to him tuesday, he put in another ticket as far as I know and well still nothing.

I do not see that the Master Looter has submitted a new petition regarding this issue. = \

So I take it that means I'm just screwed and have to run this instance another hundred thousand times?

You could try having the player who received the loot incorrectly submit an in-game petition and explain that the original petition submitted by the Master Looter was closed before it was resolved. Unfortunately, the amount of time that has passed since this looting error occurred may prevent us from providing the Bind-on-Pickup loot switch at this point.

Here's the problem. He's the one that recieved it. So now I'm getting jerked around. Wonderful ticket system if you ask me.

Unfortunately, we must hear from the player who incorrectly received the loot in order to provide a service for such a Master Looter error. It does not appear that the ticket system has otherwise failed you. The Master Looter made a mistake in assigning the item to himself; then, he closed the petition to correct the matter before our specialists received it, effectively cancelling the request. I do apologize for the inconvenience of these circumstances; however, it sounds as though it is the Master Looter that failed you in this case.

Q u o t e:
Which to me sounds like what anyone should do is just be Master Looter and Master Loot stuff to themselves. I mean the fact that he opened a ticket in the first place tells me that you already know that something should be fixed. So yes your Ticket System has failed me.

Open tickets are placed into a queue and are addressed by the Game Master staff in the order in which they are received. A Game Master responded to the petition and informed the player he/she would be escalating the petition to a Character Specialist for further investigation. This is exactly what should've been done, as a looting issue of this type requires the work of a specialist. This means the petition is put into a new queue awaiting our specialists and is again addressed in the order in which it was escalated. If the petition is closed prematurely, it is removed from our queue. Although we may have a record of this petition, we do not know for what reason the player closed the petition. Whether or not he decided he was going to keep the item cannot be determined, and is ultimately up to him. In other words, if he truly wants the matter resolved, he will need to open up a petition and wait for a specialist to look into the case.

This is like killing someone, admitting that you killed them, and then later when you hear you are going to die for it retracting the confession...

Except for the fact that what the Master Looter did was not illegal; and the decision to have the loot transferred to you by a specialist is up to him.

I'm saying one is free to close one's petition at any time one wishes. Closing a petition before hearing from us is the equivalent of leaving your place in line at a retail outlet, putting down the items you were going to purchase, walking to your car, and driving off. The cashier likely won't jump into a car and chase after you for leaving the line early.

Unfortunately, we'll be unable to further assist with this matter without a help request made by the Master Looter. I am sorry, Zahadra.
