I recently registered for a wow account, but after playing with my friends we noticed that my account was only a trial account, even though i had signed up for 6 months in advance already. is this just because my visa hasnt kicked in yet or do i need to press some button that just hasnt popped up for me yet?

Yes, you can use your Authentication Key to upgrade your account from a Trial version to a full version. Not to worry, Doomscream - this certainly isn't the first time that this has happened. ;)
