Over the six months I have been living and working in the Denmark for a popular A.V. company. While this may not seem important, the fact is I did not have access to my W.O.W. account during this period. After returning home, I have found that my brother has been using the account without permission. On top of that he has been using a number of my bank accounts to finance this and other endeavors (including online gambling, some really hard porn [I didnt think some of the actions were possible], and car add-ons).
At this point I am still on the fence about bringing him up on charges or just making him pay back the stolen money. Where your company comes in is that I wish to get reinvolved in the game, but it seems one of the actions he took while I was gone was to delete my characters gear (a gnome mage; Ascanius) and give most of the gold to friends he made online. From reading up on your website, I see that there are only a certain number of item restorations an account has unless the account was hacked, and in that case, it is my understanding, that all items will be refunded. I am not sure what needs to have happened for an account to be deemed hacked, but I can honestly say that I canceled my subscription, and it was restarted and tampered with devoid of my consent and wishes. In addition, I did not share my password with him or leave it laying around my packed stuff, so my best guess is that he used some kind of computer program to retrieve it.
As one might have guessed so far, it is my hope that my mage can be restored to the point it was at before my brother decided that gear I had worked months towards was suddenly less important than trying to make some friends half way across the country. I hope you are able to do this for me. If it turns out you are unable to do this and are only able to return a few items to myself, please allow me to make a list of those I wish to have back the most to least.
Thank you for your time.[ post edited by Ascanius ]

This sounds like a very unfortunate situation indeed, Ascanius. I'm sorry to hear that your brother has tampered with your personal information, both in-game and in real life. It is best to treat this as a compromised account and report the matter in-game via the petition system. Although restorations made on virtual property can be very time-sensitive, we can work to recover as much as was lost as possible. I do wish you the best of luck in recovering from these circumstances, my friend. : )

Q u o t e: Wouldn't the investigation end as soon as they see that the logins came from the same house?
Depending on the circumstances, you are correct, in that it may simply be treated as a standard restoration request for deleted virtual property.
My lamb and martyr, you look so precious.
