Subject: BUG - Mana Oil is removing Weapon Enchants
Applying Brilliant Mana Oil to ANY weapon will remove its enchantment upon log or zoning. This is an issue new to this morning, 08/15/06 and has been tested. The bug is 100% repeatable. Here are the steps:

1) Have any weapon with an enchantment. Benediction with +55 healing for example.
2) Apply Brilliant Mana Oil to Benediction through the trade window
3) Logout or Zone
4) Log back in.
5) +55 Healing enchantment has been REMOVED.

DO NOT USE MANA OIL until this issue is fixed, guys.

Yes, this has been reported on the bug forums, but as no one reads those.. you guys need to know that this issue exists.

Please reproduce on PTR to back up my statement, and avoid ruining your guild's raids.

We have verified that players may lose enchantments if applied on top of specific temporary weapon buffs. We are in the process of producing a fix which will likely require rolling restarts on all realms once the fix has been applied. We will provide any further information that we come across concerning this issue, as well as information on when the rolling restarts will begin.

If you have lost a permanent item enchant due to this issue please petition our GM department in-game from the affected character by clicking on the red question mark in your action bar, and include as much pertinent information as possible.
