Subject: Contemplating whether to go to Blizcon or not |

I'm stuck at this decision. I live in Louisiana and have been playing Blizzard's games for 8 years now. My girlfriend and I are unsure if we should go to California and attend the convention, or skip it and save the money for other purposes.
In actuality I can afford the convention. It would require me saving all of my spending money pretty much until October. It seems worth the wait, however college is starting for my girlfriend next week and she needs clothes, materials, etc. Leaving her at home is way out of the question. We both want to go, and if I'm going to spend $700+ just on myself, might as well bring her along for the ride.
I'm truly excited about the beta testing, and mainly meeting some of the game developers and such. All of the goodies sound really nice. I have only been to CA one time, and that was just for an hour while I waited for another plane at LAX. I have always wanted to go there. So not only would I enjoy the convention, I'd enjoy being in the state as well.
This will consume a lot of my money if I decide to do it. I will be stuck at home, low on snacks, and no spending money whatever until the date.
So would do you guys think? Save $1300-1400 (over 2 months basically) for clothes, going out, etc, or go to Blizzcon? Would it be worth the experience?

It sounds like you are a fan, and that you would have a great time if you did make it out here. I know that we here at Blizzard are excited to meet all of you. From everything I have been hearing, this is going to be one awesome show.

One of the sticky posts above has a listing of all the panel speakers who will be attending. As for individuals who will be there, I am not sure.

Actually, I am as big a fanboi as anyone else, so meeting and talking to other fans of the game is a lot of fun for me. I have a blast each year at E3, and I had a blast the couple days I attended ComiCon this year.
